National Port Infrastructure – Cyber Risk Management & Transformation

​

Driving complete cyber transformation for the national port infrastructure of an ASIA-PAC nation. Frederick engaged with the client to create a strategic cyber risk identification and treatment plan to reduce critical cyber risks within the organization, while helping to create a cyber conscious culture. The engagement assisted the client in training local staff in cyber auditing and compliance, cyber security operations and incident response tasks and implemented an Information Security Management System and governance in-line with ISO-27001.

Mining – Leading Cyber Security Department

The Head of the cyber security department for a major mining company (ASX 50) where Frederick managed the cyber risk and operational security department. Strategic elements included organisational risk assessment and management programs, policy and procedure development, security architecture assessment and planning, and the daily management of operational tasks such as incident response, user awareness training and defensive hardening.

National Cyber Security Consultancy – Governance, Risk & Compliance

Frederick was part of the leadership team at a major cyber consultancy where Frederick designed, delivered and managed major cyber security audit and assurance engagements for clients that included comprehensive initial gap assessments through to remediation journeys that ensured clients received ISO27001 certifications and alignment with frameworks such as NIST and the ASD Essential Eight.

Major Energy Provider – Critical Infrastructure Security

Frederick led a large-scale cybersecurity maturity and compliance engagement for a major Australian energy provider, focused on assessing the organisation’s alignment with the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act and broader cyber resilience obligations. The engagement involved evaluating security governance, operational technology and IT controls, risk management practices, incident response capabilities, and overall cybersecurity maturity across critical infrastructure environments.
